The Rose Farm is situated in a quiet, peaceful neighbourhood, where the only sound that breaks the silence is the sound of birds twittering. The farm is located on the Great Hungarian Plain; the nearest city, Kiskunfélegyháza, is only 5 km (3 miles) from it. The territory of the farm is almost 2.5 acres (10 000 m²), and two houses are located on it. One of these houses is available for guests in each and every season. We can provide accommodation for 6 persons, in two separate rooms.

How to find us:

The farm can be accessed by car via Motorway no. M5 from Budapest; the farm is 1 km (0.6 miles) from the nearest exit. The best way is to take the exit named 'Kiskunfélegyháza Centrum', and then drive towards Jakabszállás. You shall turn left when you see the sign 'Róza Tanya/Zimmer Frei'.

We are proud to have provided accommodation for hundreds of guests so far, coming from either Hungary or abroad. We can also prepare some specialities of Hungarian cuisine for you, if you wish. During the summer we also offer day boarding for children with full catering.

Our farm is pet-friendly: you don't have to leave your beloved pet at home!

You can also cook your own food on an open fire (but the guest house is also equipped with a kitchen).

What's more, there are many sport activities you can enjoy at our farm: you can play football, basketball, table tennis, and skittles.

There is a secure parking area (the farm is protected by fences and a dog, who is friendly with guests, but hostile towards robbers).

Hungary is famous for its bathing culture, so if you visit the neighbourhood, you must try at least one of the closest baths. You can either visit the Kiskunfélegyháza Bath (5 km/3 miles), or the Kiskunmajsa Water Park (15 km/ 9 miles). Both of them offer thermal water, and a fun and relaxing time as well for the whole family.

Some sights nearby that you should not miss:

The only Prison Museum of Central Europe is situated in Kiskunfélegyháza, our neighbouring city.

You can also find the house in the city of Kiskunfélegyháza where one of our most famous (and internationally renown) poets, Sandor Petofi spent his childhood. His name can also be linked to the Revolution of 1848, in which he played a crucial role.

You should not miss the Kiskun Museum (http://hu.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kiskun_Múzeum and

http://kirandulastervezo.hu/celpont/kiskunfelegyhaza/kiskun-muzeum), which introduces the history and traditions of the 'Kiskunság', the area in which the farm is located within the Great Hungarian Plain.

Kiskunfélegyháza is also proud of having the house in which our famous writers, Ferenc Móra was born. The house is kept in proper condition, and can be visited by appointment.

Bugacpuszta (Bugac Steppe), one of the most famous sights to see in the surrounding area is only 18 km (11 miles) from the Rose Farm. This steppe is part of the Kiskunság National Park.

One of the biggest cities nearby is Kecskemét, which can be reached by both car and train (it is 25 km/ 15 miles north-west of Kiskunfélegyháza). In this city, there are plenty of fantastic sights to see and activities to do.

Toserdo, an ancient forest with a detached stretch of our River Tisza is also a popular tourist attraction of the area. It is a part of the Kiskunság National Park, and, among others, you can observe the local flora and fauna while taking a long walk in the forest; you can try angling or riding; and you can also visit the local bath and the Adventure Park.

Ópusztaszer, the most famous National Open-Air History Museum of Hungary is 25 km (15 miles) from our farm. This museum introduces the visitors to the life of the Hungarian people since we have occupied our current territory, with the help of traditional workshops, ancient residences, and several other buildings.

Szeged, one of the most beautiful cities of Hungary is 65 km (40 miles) from the Rose Farm.
